A rapidly growing independent oil and gas consultancy requires Consultants, Senior Analysts, Analysts, Researchers and Authors, and to join their dynamic international business.
There are opportunities in London, Aberdeen, Bristol and Houston Texas.
With over 20 years of industry experience, Infield Systems Limited supplies bespoke data, reports and due diligence and other analytical services to many of the leading players in the industry ranging from the Investment banks and major oil companies to government agencies and the trade press, as well as many other organisations.
Energy Consultants:
Individuals able to operate at all levels within a client company both providing support using Infield's products and winning new business. The candidate will have a sound knowledge of the Offshore oil and gas industry and be capable of completing and managing a project through from inception to to completion and customer satisfaction.
Due-diligence Consultants
Individuals with Market due-dilgence experience work are also required. Infield advises in the areas of Mergers, aquisitions new product introduction and major purchase investment. Infield works with all the major banks and investment houses active in this sector.
Researchers
The successful candidates will display a high degree of initiative and possess exceptional research and analytical skills, as well as the ability to manage their work to project timescales. They should be numerate and able to grasp new concepts quickly.
Knowledge of the oil and gas industry though beneficial is not a prerequisite as training and support will be provided. However, successful candidates will be expected to contribute from the outset.
Familiarity with Excel, Word and Access would be an advantage.
Authors
Industry knowledge and excellent writing ability are important as well as the ability to use input from Researchers and Analysts in order to produce top class publications to order. Infield produces a series of publications covering both technology and market information for the Energy Sector. We also work with authors on a contract and or profit sharing basis. Knowledge of Word, Adobe InDesign or other DTP package an advantage.

Analysts & Senior Analyst Vacancies
We are seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the displayed positions. You will have to show a high degree of initiative and the ability to work to your own timescales.You will be expected to contribute from the outset. You will need to be able to demonstrate some or all of the following skills. Appropriate training and support will be provided for the right candidates. Senior analysts would be expected to undertake significant levels of client contact.
- An understanding of macro-economics
- An excellent understanding of mathematics and statistics
- An excellent working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel and the aptitude to develop skills in using MS Access. In addition a good working knowledge of computers is essential.
- Be able to analyse qualitative and quantitative data. You will need to identifying trends within data sets, drawing conclusions from them and displaying these conclusions in a way the reader or the client can understand them.
- Be able to gathering information, specifically from interviews by telephone or face to face. To analyse the results and write conclusions based upon the results.
- Be able to chair workshops for industry officials and executives.
- Be able to sell the company analytical services. This would involve discussions with companies, identifying what they require and how Infield's capabilities would help them. You would be required to write tender documents, project manage the scope of work and bring the project in on time and on budget. There would also be a formal presentation to the commissioning company which you will be responsible for.
- Excellent writing skills are required, even to short deadlines..
- Representing the company at exhibitions, presentations and other events.
- Be able to present papers to industry groups and companies. You will write these papers yourself from your own analysis. You would have to field all questions asked of you at the presentation.
- Ability to interpret company accounts would be an advantage.
Package is an excellent salary, with profit sharing, healthcare and a gym membership after successful completion of a three month probation period.
