Offshore Northern Seas is a biannual event, alternating with Offshore Europe. ONS 2012 is the next edition of the event and will be the 20th ONS since 1974. ONS is one of the key industry exhibitions and conferences for offshore oil and gas industry. ONS provides a platform for the presentation of the political, innovation, economic and technological issues involving the international oil and gas industry. In recent years, Offshore Northern Seas has incorporated broader energy issues while maintaining its focus on the petroleum industry.
The theme of ONS 2012 was "Energy for more people", focusing on the need for increased access to resources as well as better exploitation and energy efficient production methods. At ONS 2010, according to the organisers there were 49,735 visitors from 91 participating countries, 1,351 exhibiting companies from 32 exhibiting countries and with a total of 18 national pavilions and. The ONS conference was attended by some 1,175 conference delegates and the whole ONS event was covered by 290 international journalists.
ONS 2012 will be the 8th consecutive time that Infield Systems has exhibited at Offshore Northern Seas since 1998.
At ONS 2010 Infield Systems launched the Global Perspectives Offshore LNG Market Update To 2016, Global Perspectives Specialist Vessels Market Update To 2014 and the Global Perspectives Offshore Heavy Lift Market Update To 2014. As well as these new reports Infield Systems distributed copies of the Offshore West Africa Oil & Gas Activity Map To 2014, the Gulf of Mexico Oil & Gas Infrastructure & Integrity Map to 2014 and the Offshore Latin America Oil & Gas Activity Map To 2015, which is being officially launched at Rio Oil & Gas in September.
On Infield Systems' booth, the entire suite of products and services including databases, market forecast reports, business strategy & analysis, transaction services and mapping were available. At the event Infield Systems had available the complete series of Global Perspective Market Update Reports in the in the e-library using "page flip" technology.
Infield Systems will be publishing the new first edition of the Norwegian & N62 degree Oil & Gas Activity Map To 2017. This new map will bring together Infield Systems’ Offshore Energy Database and Offshore EnergyGateway Mapping Systems into a single unique wall map.
On Infield Systems' booth, the entire suite products and services including databases, market forecast reports, business strategy & analysis, transaction services and mapping will be available. The mapping and data products will be demonstrated live via an onsite server so visitors can carry out data searches and view any offshore oil and gas field and facility, worldwide, with the online mapping system. In addition Infield Systems will have available the complete series of Global and Regional Perspective Market Reports available for view in the interactive e-library.
