As with all sectors of the offshore industry, the collapse
in world oil prices has had a significant impact on the fixed platform market,
with capex bottoming out in 2015. The previous year has an improving picture
across some regions, in particular the Middle East and Europe, where projects
such as the Bul Hanine redevelopment and Johan Sverdrup drive demand. Regions
