Control
lines
The Control lines data
set is comprised of hydraulic, electrical, chemical and optic fibre
control lines and umbilicals. These range from the massive tie back
systems found on Shell’s Mensa project in the Gulf of Mexico,
down to 1 metre flying leads tying back a subsea well back to its
manifold or template.
The types of Control lines and Umbilicals on the
Offshore Energy Database are employed for;
• Communications
• Power Line
• Seismic Cable
• Telecommunications
• Umbilical
• Within Pipeline Bundle
Please note that the ID Code associated with each record on the Infield Offshore Energy Database are codes specific to the Infield database and as such have no other industry relevance. They allow each record to be related to other records in other data sets. They also allow clients to relate and cross reference their own company specific information and data. For more information about this please see InfieldOnline.
