Pipelines

The pipelines data set identifies rigid steel flowlines, flexible flowlines, Duplex and Super-Duplex rigid Corrosion Resistant Alloy (CRA) flowlines. The pipelines data set identifies projects ranging from the intercontinental export lines though the infield flowlines and export lines to 1” diameter and 1 metre in length jumper flowlines. Infield uses the pipelines data set for the referential integrity of the Offshore Energy Database as each end of the project is tied back to the start and end facility within the Offshore Energy Database.

Please note that the ID Code associated with each record on the Infield Offshore Energy Database are codes specific to the Infield database and as such have no other industry relevance. They allow each record to be related to other records in other data sets. They also allow clients to relate and cross reference their own company specific information and data. For more information about this please see InfieldOnline.

Types of pipeline systems identified on Infield are;

• Bundled Line: these systems comprise of several export flowlines, injection and umbilical control lines of varying configurations.
• Coiled Tubing
• Flexible Catenary Risers (FCR)
• Jumper: short flowline connecting a subsea well back to its manifold
• Piggy-Back: an export line from the field carrying an externally attached import injection flowline to the wellhead
• Pipe-In-Pipe: An external pipeline carrying an internal flowline. Pipe-in-Pipe systems are used for protection near the shore and for insulation in deeper waters
• Riser: Flowlines carrying the hydrocarbon flow from the seabed to the surface facility
• Steel Catenary Riser (SCR)
• Single Tubular: Single, simple tube system
For each Pipeline project the following information is provided;
