Subsea Cables Control Lines Data

The Subsea cables Control lines data set is comprised of subsea cables of these types: hydraulic, electrical, chemical and optic fibre control lines and umbilicals. These Subsea cables range from the massive subsea cables of tie back systems found on Shell’s Mensa project in the Gulf of Mexico, down to subsea cables of 1 metre flying leads tying back a subsea well back to its manifold or template. As part of the development of the Renewables Energy Database the research team are also identifying the subsea cables associated with powerlines for offshore wind farms.
