Lamprell (ticker: LAM), a leading provider of diversified engineering and contracting services to the energy industry, announces the completion of construction on the jackup drilling rig, “Al Gharbia”, and its delivery to Abu Dhabi’s National Drilling Company (‘NDC’). Completion and delivery of the jackup rig, on time and on budget, was marked at an inauguration ceremony held at Lamprell’s Hamriyah facility in the UAE on 22 December. The rig will depart the facility in late December en route to its drilling location in Abu Dhabi. The contract for the NDC “Al Gharbia” rig was signed in November 2014 and this is the seventh rig in a series of nine rigs being built and delivered by Lamprell to NDC. All nine rigs have been designed according to the Cameron LeTourneau Super 116E (Enhanced) Class design. The remaining two rigs are proceeding on schedule and will be delivered as planned in 2017.

Lamprell delivers 'Qarnin' jackup to National Drilling Company (NDC)

Lamprell (ticker: LAM), a leading provider of diversified engineering and contracting services to the onshore and offshore energy industry, announces the completion of construction on the jackup drilling rig, “Qarnin”, and its delivery to Abu Dhabi’s National Drilling Company (‘NDC’). Completion and delivery of the jackup rig, on time and on budget, was marked at a ceremony held at Lamprell’s Hamriyah facility in the UAE on 13 February. The rig will depart the facility late February en route to its drilling location in Abu Dhabi. The contract for the NDC “Qarnin” rig was signed in October 2011 and this is the third rig in a series of six identical rigs being built and delivered by Lamprell to NDC. All six rigs have been or will be designed according to the Cameron LeTourneau Super 116E (Enhanced) Class design. “Qarnin” rig now joins its sister rigs, ‘Makasib’ which was delivered by Lamprell to NDC in July 2012 and ‘Muhaiyimat’ which was delivered in December 2012. The remaining three rigs are all proceeding on schedule and will be delivered as planned in 2014/15. With the delivery of ‘Qarnin’ rig, Lamprell has now delivered a total of 20 new build jackup rigs, and its eighth Super 116E jackup drilling unit to various clients during the last six years.

Lamprell Plc (Lamprell), a leading provider of diversified engineering and contracting services to the onshore and offshore energy industry, has announced the completion of construction on a further jackup drilling rig, and its delivery to Abu Dhabi’s National Drilling Company (NDC), on time and on budget. The contract for this latest NDC rig was signed in October 2011 and this is the fourth rig in a series of six identical rigs being built and delivered by Lamprell to NDC. All six rigs have been or will be designed according to the Cameron LeTourneau Super 116E (Enhanced) Class design. The new rig has been delivered to the client following the delivery of the third drilling unit, ‘Qarnin’, in February of this year. The remaining two rigs for NDC are all proceeding on schedule and will be delivered as planned in late 2014/early 2015. This new rig for NDC is the ninth Super 116E jackup drilling unit that Lamprell has completed for various clients during the last six years. The jackup rig will be officially named, and completion will be marked, at a ceremony at Lamprell’s Hamriyah facility in the UAE towards the end of May, before departing for operations at its drilling location in Abu Dhabi.

Keppel FELS delivers NDC jackup rig 18 days ahead of schedule

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has delivered a KFELS B Class jackup rig to the National Drilling Company of Abu Dhabi (NDC) 18 days ahead of schedule. The rig has also achieved a zero-accident safety record during her more than two million manhours of construction period. At its inauguration ceremony held in Abu Dhabi recently, Mr Tong Chong Heong, Managing Director/Chief Operating Officer of Keppel O&M, said, "The early delivery of Al-Hail is testament to Keppel's promise to our customers to complete our projects on-time, on-budget and above all, safely. We are fully committed to this amid our heavy orderbook. I am very proud of the team for their dedication and commitment." Al-Hail is NDC's first newbuild jackup in 20 years. It is also the first KFELS B Class jackup customised to meet NDC's requirements for a cost-effective rig. With leg lengths of 307 feet, Al-Hail is tailored specifically for operations in benign Middle East conditions of water depths down to 150 feet.

'Al Ghallan' jackup leaves Drydocks World shipyard

Drydocks World, the international service provider to the shipping, maritime, offshore, oil, gas and energy sectors, announced the completion of a major refurbishment carried out on National Drilling Company’s (NDC) Offshore Drilling Rig ‘Al Ghallan’. The project is part of a series of four rig repair and refurbishment projects signed with NDC in 2013. Before that, eight projects were completed. The numbers of projects carried out for NDC have progressively increased over the years. Mr. Abdalla Saeed Al Suwaidi, Chief Executive Officer of NDC underlined the importance of the modernization projects of the existing rigs in maintaining the best fit-for-service condition while extending its remaining life in the most reliable, safe, and cost-effective way possible. “These major refurbishment projects performed in parallel with the fleet expansion plans to obtain new and advanced offshore and onshore rigs are contributing considerably in strengthening NDC’s operational excellence and sustaining the maximum levels of safety, environment protection and effective performance. This will certainly enable NDC to serve its clients competently and always meet their operational requirements and achieve their satisfaction”, he commented. NDC's CEO expressed his appreciation for Drydocks World for their efforts and commitment to HSE and Quality. Rig Al Ghallan is a Self-Elevating Cantilever Type Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit with three triangular lattice type legs, which are 234 ft long. The work carried out on the rigs include modification of three spud cans of 160 tonnes each, including replacement of cathodic protection, painting, placing height markings, carrying out an inclining experiment and updating the rig’s operating manuals. Nearly 55 tonnes of steel were replaced in the tanks. Major refurbishment was carried out in the Accommodation. The rig’s three cranes were dismantled and overhauled. High pressure Koomey lines were replaced. Pipes around the rig were revamped. An engineering study was carried out based on which the ventilation in the Sewage Treatment Plant and transformer room were improved. Cantilever skidding gears, air hoists, air tuggers, raw water tower elevation system, gears and bearings and dump and equalizing valves were overhauled. Other work included MPI inspection of legs, painting of the derrick and blasting and painting of hull, tanks and mud pits.

Lamprell secures newbuild jackup order from NDC

Lamprell, a leading provider of diversified fabrication, engineering and contracting services to the onshore and offshore oil & gas and renewable energy industries, is pleased to announce that it has received a new contract award from National Drilling Company (NDC), Abu Dhabi, for the construction and delivery of two further high specification jackup drilling rigs of a Super 116E (Enhanced) Class. This contract award is valued at approximately USD 365 million. Lamprell has previously been awarded contracts by NDC for a series of six identical rigs and we are on schedule to complete construction of the final two jackup rigs, having delivered the first four on time and on budget. As with the units under construction, these newly-ordered rigs will be completely outfitted, LeTourneau-designed, self-elevating Mobile Offshore Drilling Units of a Super 116E (Enhanced) Class design with a rated drilling depth of 30,000 feet. The rigs will be constructed at Lamprell's facility in Hamriyah, United Arab Emirates (UAE), with planned delivery dates in Q4 2016 and Q2 2017 respectively. Under the contract terms, NDC also has the right to exercise options for Lamprell to build up to an additional three jackup rigs of the same design.

The contract for the Al Shuwehat rig was signed in April 2012 and this is the fifth in a series of eight rigs with the LeTourneau Super 116E (Enhanced) Class design which are being built and delivered by Lamprell to NDC. This latest rig has been delivered to the client following the completion of the third and fourth rigs, the Qarnin and the Marawwah respectively, earlier this year. Lamprell has achieved another Company record with the delivery of three drilling units to one client in a single year. Drydocks World completes 'Beynouna' repair

Drydocks World the international service provider to the shipping, maritime, offshore, oil, gas and energy sectors announces the completion of a refurbishment project on the National Drilling Company’s (NDC) offshore drilling Rig Beynouna. Drydocks World’s comprehensive rig services and innovative offshore project management methodology turned around the major repair on Rig Beynouna ahead of schedule in 28 days. Drydocks World has previously completed numerous successful projects for NDC, progressively increasing our strategic alliance over the years. For Rig Beynouna Drydocks World carried out drydocking, hull treatment, crane repairs, HP piping, SW lines cleaning, accommodation repairs and treatment works. The quoted number of days to complete the project was 37, however Drydocks World managed to reduce the quoted repair duration and the project was efficiently completed in only 28 days. A total of 40 tons of steel was used in the 21 various tanks, with the pipe shop renewing all sea water pipes in just 7 days. The efficient completion of work on Rig Beynouna reflects the focused attention and excellent project team support allocated towards this vessel in order to reach the milestone date. The Drydocks World rig division and NDC worked together as an integrated unit in order to ensure quality execution on Rig Beynouna, with excellent management support from both sides. Preparation and planning were key to the successful completion of Rig Beynouna, reflecting Drydocks World and NDC’s commitment to the systematic provision and implementation of stringent HSEQ initiatives. As part of Drydocks World’s incentive program, the top performers were awarded with appreciation gifts from NDC and Drydocks World to recognize their diligent efforts in celebration of excellent delivery on Rig Beynouna. Lamprell wins first firm newbuild rig order of 2015

Lamprell Plc. (“Lamprell”), has announced that National Drilling Company ("NDC"), Abu Dhabi, has exercised one of its existing options and awarded a contract to Lamprell for the construction and delivery of a high-specification jackup drilling rig. Lamprell has previously been awarded contracts by NDC for a series of eight rigs and this will be the ninth rig constructed of the same design. The LeTourneau-designed, Super 116E (Enhanced) Class mobile offshore drilling unit will be constructed at Lamprell's facility in Hamriyah, United Arab Emirates (UAE), with a planned delivery in Q2 2017. As previously announced, NDC has further options for Lamprell to build up to an additional two jackup rigs of the same design, which have been extended to 3Q 2015. James Moffat, Chief Executive Officer, Lamprell, said: "I am delighted to be able to announce this new award from NDC, thereby extending our on-going relationship with our largest client by way of a ninth new build jackup rig in the series. Lamprell delivers 'Butinah' jackup rig

Lamprell Plc (“Lamprell”) has announced the completion of the construction of the Butinah jackup drilling rig for Abu Dhabi’s (UAE) National Drilling Company (“NDC”). The Butinah rig departed Lamprell’s Hamriyah shipyard on the 1st May 2015 and is enroute to its drilling location on the Zakum field offshore Abu Dhabi (UAE). The Butinah rig joins its sister rigs, the Makasib, Muhaiyimat, Qarnin, Marawah and the Shuwehat, all of which were built to LeTourneau’s Super 116-E rig design.

New build contract

Lamprell (ticker: LAM), a leading provider of specialist engineering services to the international oil & gas and renewables industry, is pleased to announce that it has received a US$ 317 million new contract award from National Drilling Company (“NDC”), Abu Dhabi. This contract with NDC is for the construction and delivery of two jackup rigs valued at US$ 158.5 million each with additional optional equipment orders valued at US$ 12.6 million per rig. The rigs will be completely outfitted and equipped, LeTourneau designed, self-elevating Mobile Offshore Drilling Platforms of a Super 116E (Enhanced) Class design. The rigs consist of triangular hulls and three 310 foot truss type legs per rig, each leg with an electro-mechanical rack and pinion elevating system, which will allow drilling in depths of up to 200 feet of water with a rated drilling depth of 30,000 feet. Work on the first rig will commence on 1 August 2010 with delivery scheduled for the middle of Q2 2012. As part of the contract, NDC has options for Lamprell to build two further jackup rigs, valued at US$ 158.5 million per rig, exercisable during the 12 month period commencing on 1 August 2010. Each option includes additional optional equipment orders valued at US$ 12.6 million. Lamprell and Riginvest have agreed that the contract they entered into for the construction of a LeTourneau Super 116E jackup drilling rig will terminate upon signature of the contract between NDC and Lamprell. The rig that was being built for Riginvest will now be built for NDC. Riginvest will receive a portion of the contract advance it initially paid to Lamprell as part of the termination agreement. From an accounting perspective, pursuant to International Financial Reporting Standards, the cancellation of the Riginvest contract will create a material one-off accounting gain in the Company’s financial statements for 2010, the amount of which cannot be determined at this stage.

The rig was completed to the highest standards of quality using the latest in drilling system technology from our suppliers and will depart the facility in Q1 en route to its drilling location in Abu Dhabi. The contract for the NDC “Al Hudairiyat” rig was signed in November 2014 and this is the eighth rig in a series of nine being built and delivered by Lamprell to NDC. All nine rigs have been designed according to the Cameron LeTourneau Super 116E (Enhanced) Class design. The remaining rig is proceeding on schedule and will be delivered as planned in 1H 2017.

Al Lulu Jackup Delivered

Lamprell (ticker: LAM), a leading provider of diversified engineering and contracting services to the energy industry, announces the completion of construction on the final jackup drilling rig in a series of nine, the “Al Lulu”, and its delivery to Abu Dhabi’s National Drilling Company (“NDC”), within budget and as scheduled. The contract for the NDC “Al Lulu” rig was awarded in April 2015, one of only three rig orders awarded that year. All nine rigs have been designed according to the Cameron LeTourneau Super 116E (Enhanced) Class design and were completed to the highest standards of quality using the latest in drilling system technology. Completion and delivery of the jackup rig was marked at an inauguration ceremony held at Lamprell’s Hamriyah facility in the UAE on 27 April and the rig will depart to its drilling location in Abu Dhabi shortly. Rig "Al Lulu" is the 21st 116E jackup drilling unit that Lamprell has delivered since its listing in 2006 and the 28th jackup drilling rig in total.
