The Offshore EnergyGateway is a true online GIS and mapping service for the oil, gas, renewable energy and associated marine industries. The EnergyGateway can be accessed through any Internet browser, where the world map is split into 14 separate "Gateways".

Within each Gateway, information from the Offshore Energy Database is displayed as GIS layers alongside other geographic layers to provide the user with a unique tool to explore any country involved in the offshore oil and gas industry. The GIS team have also begun adding renewable energy research and to date all offshore wind farms have been added to the EnergyGateway.

The database layers are linked directly back to the information in the Offshore Energy Database. It is possible to subscribe to Offshore Energy Database data sets and link these to the visual layers on the EnergyGateway to create a powerful geographic and data system, or to subscribe to standalone packages to access the visual layers for a simple and quick reference tool for each region.
