Offshore Australasia Database

Offshore Australasia Online identifies all fields which are being planned or considered for development offshore Australasia, including the Timor Sea, offshore Northern Territory, Western Australia, South East Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. It includes all shallow water as well as the deep and ultra-deepwater projects. It looks at developments that are planned for the current year and then those for four years hence.

There has been a fall in oil production in the Gippsland basin but there are new developments off Western Australia and rising gas production with much more on the way e.g. Gorgon plans to solidify. Additionally there is enormous potential for growth in the supply of LNG to East Asia and West Coast USA. The joint development zone with Timor- Greater Sunrise area and Tassie Shoals Bayrn Undan-liquids production has started, and gas production is soon to follow.
