    Drilling and completion of Subsea wells
    - 2,121 subsea wells are forecast to be installed in the period 2005/09. This represents a 71% growth from the period 1999/03, where 1,242 wells were installed. Overall, the market forecast expenditure is set to rise from a total of $18.6bn during the period 1999/03 to $31.3bn during 2005/09.

    Subsea Equipment - The forecast for the subsea equipment market, which includes subsea templates, subsea manifolds and subsea trees, will see 2682 units installed during the period 2005/09. This compares to the installation of 1,605 units over the 1999/03 period. Subsea tree capex is forecast to be $2.8bn during 2005/09 compared to $1.5bn during 1999/03. Subsea manifold capex is due to grow from $1.8bn to $3.7bn, while subsea template capex is set for decline from $756m to $657m over the same periods.
