Infield Systems is actively expanding its consulting, analysis, business strategy and research operations within the energy sector and is looking to strengthen its existing teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with Infield Systems' Senior Analysts and Consultants who are undertaking commercially driven consultancy, analytical and strategic projects for all aspects of the offshore oil and gas and associated marine industries. The role is an ideal opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their knowledge and skills in a highly dynamic environment. Infield Systems offers the opportunity for team members to progress to senior positions within the firm.
The ideal candidate will have a good relevant degree and two to three years experience in the offshore oil and gas sector, ideally one to two years as a business analyst. They should have a high degree of literacy, numeracy and commercial acumen, with the ability to work under pressure and within challenging time frames without compromising accuracy, quality and analytical rigour. They need to be able to analyse the detail whilst maintaining a strong strategic focus.
As part of everyday business Infield Systems uses MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and the ideal candidate must be competent in these software packages. In order to deliver the in-depth analysis and business models required for client consulting projects Infield Systems uses SQL. Knowledge of SQL is desirable but not a prerequisite as training can be provided to bring the candidate up to the required level of expertise. As part of the sales process Infield Systems use a customer relationship management system and defined procedures to maximise all enquiries and opportunities. The candidate will be expected to follow procedures and to use and update these systems on a daily basis.
Infield Systems promotes internal mobility. Analysts should aim to progress to Senior Analyst within one to two years of joining the team and then to consultant and senior consultant positions as they develop knowledge, skills and experience. Employees who display strong management skills will have fast track promotion opportunities.
